Media Concepts:
Media language,Institution,Audience , Representation
All the media is a business. They are not there to entertain us. They are there to make money(except BBC).Media production is done by organisations. These organisations make the product, sell it and then advertise and distribute it. The type of institution can influence the media product. E.g BBC, Makes Money, Media Business, Disney
Media Language-
Media Language means the way in which media texts communicate with people that use them. You may find out about camera movement, editing, sound and so on.
Representation-
Media products present us with information about the world. This information has to be selected and shaped towards what we see or hear.Media production means that all information is represented.
Audience-
The people who consume the product (which might be bought or simply seen or heard). Target audience is the age group of people reading / watching which would be considered when in the making as it would be suited for a selectable age group. All people who experience a media product form part of its audience. People the product is aimed at. Audience study turns attention on how people receive these communications.
